Overview

As a Clinical Research Associate professional in the Neuropsychology Section of the Psychology Department, you will support Faculty Investigators examining cognitive outcomes related to treatment for childhood catastrophic diseases and evaluating interventions addressing these issues. Studies focus primarily on brain tumor, leukemia, and sickle cell disease. Currently, we are seeking a Clinical Research Associate - I or Clinical Research Associate- II to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have training and experience in cognitive testing (typical batteries for testing include measures of intelligence, attention, memory, and parent report measures). Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential in coordinating data across multiple disciplines and collaborating sites.

Responsibilities

Clinical Research Associate I

Under general supervision:

* Performs data abstraction, collection, and entry to support clinical research
* Prepares submission for all reportable events.
* Develops, maintains, and/or monitors case report forms.
* Ensures compliance with prescribed interventions and evaluations of the assigned protocol(s).
* Provides data to the collaborating research organization or study sponsor. Prepares data reports.

OR

Clinical Research Associate II

Under general supervision:

* Performs activities consistent with those of a Study Coordinator role such as maintenance of protocol portfolio(s), informed consent(s), and preparation/submission of complex study documents.
* Performs data abstraction, collection, and entry to support clinical research.
* Prepares submission for all reportable events.
* Develops, maintains, and/or monitors case report forms.
* Ensures compliance with prescribed interventions and evaluations of the assigned protocol(s).
* Provides data to the collaborating research organization or study sponsor.
* Prepares complex data reports.
* Serves as a mentor and preceptor to staff.

Minimum Education

* Bachelor's degree in a related biomedical/bio-behavioral field required
* Master's degree preferred

Minimum Experience

* Clinical Research Associate - I
* Two (2) years of experience in clinical research, research, or related required with Bachelor's degree
* No experience required with Master's degree in a related field
* Psychological Examiner experience highly preferred

Clinical Research Associate - II

* Two (2) years of direct experience in clinical biomedical and/or behavioral research required
* Psychological Examiner experience highly preferred

Other Credentials

* Certification in clinical research from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) must be obtained within three (3) years of assuming the position
