Your new role
Your objective in this role will be to support the implementation of approaches and strategies as recommended by the Early Years Inclusion Support Team in the private, voluntary and independent preschool settings and maintained nurseries so that they take increasing responsibility for meeting the needs of children with SEND.
To advise on the development of high quality child-centred SEND provision which provides a nurturing environment to promote children's learning and development in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
To model appropriate strategies/resources to support children with a range of SEND and other vulnerabilities.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to have a qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare (e.g. Undergraduate Degree, NVQ3 /QTS with Early Years specialism or equivalent).
Evidence of additional training for SEN and disability provision.
Experience of working as an Early Years SENCO or planning effectively to meet the needs of children with SEN and/or disabilities.
A working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and its implementations. A working knowledge and commitment to Inclusion and equal opportunities.
