At Teaching Personnel we are looking for experienced teaching assistants to support pupils in Early Years and lower KS1 on a full time basis. The Primary school you will be working with is based in Bury St Edmunds, more specifically the Mildenhall area. They are a close knit community school with a knowledgeable and experienced senior leadership team as well as a team of incredibly passionate educators.
This position is to start as soon as possible and will continue into the new academic year, it is Monday-Friday 8.30-15.30 during term time. If you are only available on a part time basis, we still want to hear from you!
The role may consist of the following duties:
Providing a professional, approachable and helpful assistance to the teacher
Helping with preparation and planning of activities and lessons
Guiding pupils with different learning styles to ensure they are getting the full benefit from the lesson
Ensuring a safe environment for the child and other students within the classroom
Reporting of any issues, in line with the school policies and procedures
Communicating effectively with pupils, staff, parents and carers where necessary
Ad hoc admin/general duties where necessary
Working with small groups and 1:1

Requirements for the role
Passionate about primary education
Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis that can be referenced
A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
A UK address and right to work
Flexibility in terms of transportation
Experience within early years
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
