The role is to start Monday 1st October 2021 to July 2022. This will be a full time, long-term role. The working hours are 08:30 - 15:30pm, Monday to Friday. This role pays £70 - 80.00 per day.
A warm and lively school in the heart of Slough are looking to appoint a Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant / Nursery Nurse to join their team. You will be working as an outdoor learning environment specialist. You will be required to support the class teacher with the daily running's of the class but be mainly setting up the outdoor learning space.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be working with small groups of children within a Reception year group. Here you will be required to support and observe children with the progress they make within the outdoor setting. Assisting with Writing, Observation and writing up reports. Within the EYFS setting, there will be some children with special needs, therefore as an EYFS specialist you will be required to support children either on a 1:1 or small group basis.
The setting has a headcount of 90 pupils in total. 45 pupils in the morning and 45 pupils in the afternoon. The children are of mixed ability with a low number of Special Needs children on site. There is a classroom teacher with four Nursery Nurses/Teaching Assistants on site.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant will be required to have sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum along with comprehensive knowledge in the 7 areas of the EYFS framework. You should be able to provide a high standard of physical, emotional social and intellectual care to children, give support to other personnel within the setting. You will be looking after children of all ages between 3 and 5 year olds.
Play is a vital part in EYFS, therefore the school are looking for someone who is pro-active and who can hit the ground running.
Attentiveness and care is paramount in the setting therefore as a Teaching Assistant you will need to be hands on.
The school is based in Slough which is easily accessible via overground line from London Paddington, Hayes and Harlington, Ealing Broadway and Southall Station. The school is just off the M4 via the motorway
