Job Description

Are you a fully qualified English teacher living in the Maidstone area? We are recruiting for a Teacher of English to deliver lessons to KS3 and KS4 students on a permanent basis from January 2022.

You will be joining an incredibly well-resourced and highly successful department that has a relentless focus on raising attainment and good numbers for post 16 courses. In 2019, the department has celebrated a hugely successful set of summer results, in which 82% of GCSE students achieved a grade 4 or above and 62% achieved grade 5 or above. A-Level also shared equal success with 100% of Literature students achieving A*-C grades and 68% of Language & Literature students achieving A*-C grades. Similar success was shared in summers 2020 and 2021.

We are looking for someone who:
•Holds fully qualified teaching status in the UK.
•Has recent experience teaching English OR is an ECT with a relevant English degree.
•Has strong classroom management skills.
•Has excellent knowledge of KS3, KS4 and KS5 Curriculum.
•Can promote cultural development.
•Has great communication and lesson delivery skills.
