Teaching Assistant - EYFS

Barking and Dagenham

Long-term, full time

£70-80 per day (depending on experience)

Randstad Education is recruiting on behalf of our partnership schools in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. We are looking for experienced EYFS Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants for long term roles starting immediately. The Teaching Assistant will need experience working within the classroom setting within a similar job role.

This is a full time position, with a view of becoming permanent should the individual be suitable. This role is paid weekly at a rate of £70-80 per day depending on experience. This is term time only.

Supporting pupils in KS1 and 2 with their learning, on a whole group, as well as 1:1/small group basis
Using excellent behaviour management skills with a firm but fair approach
Planning for your individual pupils/small group sessions
Encouraging the development of the student's learning within the classroom
Liaising with the class teacher, as well as SENCO where needed

Requirements for the candidate:

Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant within the classroom setting
Have an understanding (or experience) of behaviour management strategies
Holding a Level 2 in supporting teaching and learning, above or equivalent
Have a valid, enhanced DBS (or be willing to complete and pay for one through Randstad)
