Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
£70-75 per day
Vision for Education are looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in one of our client schools in the Newcastle area. This position is set to begin in January 2022, working three days per week, 08:30-15:30. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is Level 4 in Teaching and Learning.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 and will be confident to cover across the school. Alongside experience, the Teacher must have extensive knowledge of the Curriculum and Assessment within the classroom. The HLTA will be required to undertake several different roles within the school, including the delivery of whole class lessons, small group interventions and 1:1 support at times.
The specified job role will be to work within one of our highly rated client schools in the Newcastle area. The primary school set high aspirations and are seeking to employ a candidate who will have the desire to make a positive impact and offer outstanding provision for the pupils within their care.
To be considered for the HLTA position, you will:
Have had experience of supporting children in Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
Be creative and enthusiastic towards delivering learning to the children.
Hold a minimum of Level 4 Teaching and Learning.
Have experience of working with SEND.
Experience of supporting whole class and small intervention groups.
Extensive knowledge of the curriculum.
