Job Description

The Ambridge Area School District is seeking applicants for the following positions:

MCJROTC Instructor

Candidate must have current MCJROTC Instructor Credentials and may be a retired MCJROTC Instructor. This position serves as instructor and assistant director for the JROTC unit.

Ambridge Area High School Math Teacher

Requirements include, but not limited to: strong verbal and written communication skills, understanding of PA Core Standards, ability to differentiate instruction, strong classroom management skills. Available position varies across grade levels. Must hold valid PA Teaching Certification and current clearances. Pre-employment Drug-Screening required.

Home School Visitor / Social Worker

Required clearances, valid PA Elementary Certification and PA Standard Application. Pre-employment Drug-Screening required.

School Psychologist

10 month per diem Bargaining Unit School Psychologist. Required clearances, valid PA Elementary Certification, and PA Standard Application. Pre-employment Drug-Screening required.

Para-Professionals (Teaching-Assistants)

Qualifications include, but not limited to: High school diploma (required to complete Department of Education Guidelines) OR two years of college OR college diploma. Pass drug screening. Provide current clearances. TB test.

Custodians

Competitive pay and benefits. Drug screening and clearances required by school district.

Middle School Hall Monitor

Monitors student movement and interactions within hallways, classrooms, auditorium, gender specific locker rooms and rest rooms and other building facilities. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures. Maintains discipline and a safe environment for students at all times. Assists students with managing behaviors and resolving conflicts. Reports serious student issues to administrators immediately. Communicates frequently with administrators regarding status, issues and needs. Reports safety, sanitary and fire hazards immediately to supervisor. Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and community. Completes appropriate communication log(s) and required paperwork. Fulfill other duties and tasks assigned by supervisors.

4 th Grade Long-Term Substitute
