A lovely Nursery in Kensington is looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator to join their team.

This role is FULL TIME PERMANENT 45 hour week therefore please only apply if you can commit to working the following:

Monday to Friday 8am-6pm or 830am-630pm (shifts will alternate)

You will finish at 3 p.m one day per week to allow 3 hours of non-contact time to complete observations, planning, etc, if your planning & observations are already completed and up to date then you will have a free afternoon to yourself.

If Successful you will be responsible of the following duties:

* To act as a Key Person for a number of children as directed by your Room Leader

* Working in a team, alongside the Room Leader

* To contribute towards the care and supervision of all children in your room, providing appropriate levels of support and interaction

* To be responsible for the children's individual personal hygiene needs and to ensure that all policies and procedures are complied with in this regard

* To ensure that all children's dietary and medical requirements are met at all times and to comply fully with children's individual care plans

* To complete observations and Individual Learning Plans for your key children

* To ensure that children are signed in and out accurately

* To ensure that the appropriate adult to child ratios are maintained at all times

* To contribute to the weekly planning of the classroom, and to ensure that weekly curriculum plans are implemented, activities are fun, engaging and stimulating based on children's interests and next steps

* To ensure policies & procedures are adhered to

* To co-operate fully with other practitioners and professionals in relation to an individual child's needs.

* To complete, as required by the Room Leader, general day to day housekeeping duties such as cleaning of the room or toys, laundry, and maintenance of nursery equipment to ensure that hygiene standards are maintained at all times

* To cover rooms other than those of your key children, as required

* To follow the weekly staffing rota, communicating with your Room Leader if there are any issues

* Communicate with staff, children, parents & visitors in a professional manner

* Minimum level 3 childcare qualification

* Minimum 2 years experience in an Early Years setting

* Understanding of EYFS, Safeguarding & what is expected from Ofsted

* DBS check ( if not be willing to complete a new one)

* Ability to work in a team to ensure a smooth running of the setting

* Excellent communication skills both written & spoken

* 2 checkable references
