This brand-new day nursery based in Marylebone, London, provides premium childcare in a safe and stimulating environment where children and staff feel happy, safe, and valued.

They are now recruiting for a nursery practitioner to join their wonderful team, who will be enthusiastic, creative and passionate to embark on their journey.

In return, the nursery is offering a competitive remuneration package, including salaries up to £23K, plus 33 days of holiday entitlement.

THE POST
Nursery Practitioners are responsible for providing high quality care for the children and organising their daily activities.
A DBS check is required by Ofsted before any appointment can be confirmed.

The hours of work will be 40 hours per week, from 7.30am - 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1.30pm on Friday.
Holiday entitlement is 33 days per year including public bank holidays.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To contribute to the creation of an environment that provides for the well-being of all

the children attending the nursery

* To be involved in team planning of appropriate activities to ensure that the children's

developmental needs are met

* To be responsible for the welfare of a group of children, as directed by senior members

of staff in the classroom that you will be covering in

* To contribute to the observation and assessment of the children's developmental

stages, recording this on the relevant documents in different classrooms

* To work in partnership with parents and carers to encourage open communication

and involvement within the nursery setting

* To be aware of, and take the responsibility for, all aspects of health, safety and security

in relation to the children attending the nursery

* To be a good role model to the children

* To work flexibly as part of the larger nursery team, assisting and supporting colleagues

wherever required in order to ensure the smooth running of the nursery

* To be aware of the high profile of La Petite Nursery and to uphold its standards at all

times

* To attend out of working hours activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents'

evenings and special events

* To abide by the nursery's confidentiality and equal opportunities/anti-bias policies at

all times

* To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and

diverse working environment

* To assist in the development and support of other members of staff to the benefit of

the nursery as a whole

* Cover for lunch breaks and time out for different classroom and support staff to

maintain daily schedule

* Daily assignments might include covering different staff, planning, clean toys and

educational materials, clean common areas - Kitchener, staff room, storage room and
outdoor resources, inventory supplies, organization of arts and crafts room;

* To undertake any other aspects of nursery work according to need

* To be responsible for the opening and closing risk assessment of the nursery's garden

and the maintenance of it.

The right candidate will:

* willing to study Level 3 in Childcare

* Have a high degree of integrity and empathy when dealing with children

* Possess the ability or willingness to learn how to plan and provide age-appropriate activities

* Participates well in a team environment

* Be able to work under own initiative

* Have previous experience of working in a nursery or interest in working with children
