VD Recruitment has partnered with a group of leading Montessori Nurseries Elm Park Nursery, Friends Forest Shere and Woodcote Day Nursery, these settings ensure a happy learning environment for our children. The individual must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children. You will be joining their dynamic team at the Ofsted Rated Good nursery. These nurseries are currently hiring for Nursery Practitioners/ Nursery Assistant/ Nursery Nurse.
The successful Nursery Practitioner/ Nursery Assistant will have strong knowledge of EYFS, an understanding of children s development and hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
Hours - 40 /week (Rotating early & late shifts) will consider part time within reason.
Location: London, Clapham - Guildford, Shere - Purely, Croydon ( Can take on Nursery Practitioner/ Nursery Assistant/ Nursery Nurse
Your role as a Nursery Practitioner includes-
Nursery Assistant to be a key person and update key children s learning journeys weekly with observations, assessments and activity plans.
To maintain objective, accurate and up-to-date records which identify children s individual needs, abilities and progress and use these as a basis for future planning.
To plan and organise activities and experiences which will support and extend the children s learning in line with EYFS
Nursery Practitioner to maintain an up to date knowledge of child development and the early year s curriculum.
To be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring that the welfare and safety of children attending the nursery is promoted and safeguarded and to report any child protect concerns to the person in charge.
Nursery Nurse to manage children s behaviour and routines in line with the nurseries policies and guidelines.
Nursery Nurse to undertake specific tasks related to the safety and hygiene of the children and the cleanliness of the nursery.
To work within the nurseries Equal Opportunities Policy and contribute to maintaining an inclusive environment.
To work within all the relevant nursery policies and procedures.
Nursery Assistant to plan and participate in outings and trips including Health and Safety aspects
Person Specification for the ideal Nursery Practitioner -
Minimum Level 2/3 in Childcare & Education and a strong desire to make a difference!
The ability to deliver high-quality practice.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent communication skills.
Closed over Christmas period (other than Woodcote)
Staff training and more
The positions are subject to an Enhanced DBS certificate and references.
