A Nursery in Southwark is looking an experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader for their Pre School Room.
As a Room Leader you must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children and be confidently ready to lead and manage your team of staff.
This is a FULL TIME PERMANENT vacancy with flexible shifts which can be:
4 long days 7.30-6 and one day off
or
5 full days with a mix of shifts from: 7.30am to 4.30pm, 8am to 5pm, 8.30am to 8.30am or 9am to 6pm
The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties:
Supporting your staff members
Ensuring policies & procedures are kept up to date and ensure all staff are aware of changes
Responsible for ratios, ensuring you have enough staff at all times
Resposible for care of children, staff & visitors
Working in a team to ensure smooth running of the Nursery
Ensuring the premises are safe, clean and tidy complying at all times with the nursery requirements.
Provide a safe, secure, stimulating environment for the children
Acting in a professional manner at all times when dealing with children, staff , parents & visitors

Minimum level 3 childcare qualification
At least 1 year Room Leader experience
SEN experienced is ideal but not required
Understanding of EYFS, Safeguarding & First aid
Aware of Ofsted requirements
Up to date DBS (if not, be willing to get a new one)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
