Job Description

Do you have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and enjoy working with young people and adults? We require a Pastoral Support Mentor to join our Student Support team, to help identify and work with students with barriers to learning that may affect their attendance and ability to successfully complete their courses.

You will hold a recognised qualification relating to Mentoring, Youth work, Advice and Guidance or Teaching (or be willing to achieve within 12 months) you will also need a good standard of literacy and numeracy (minimum Level 2) and have experience of working with people in a supportive or pastoral context. You will also need to have good IT skills in order to work with students and maintain records. You must be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and be able to prioritise your own caseload

Based at our Conway Park Campus, the post is full time. Evening work may be required occasionally to support Open Evenings. The successful applicants will be able to join the College's pension scheme as well as receive the College's generous holiday entitlement.
