Job Description

Room Leader
Qualification desired QTS or level 6 in Childcare Education
Purpose of Room Leader
1. To provide high standards of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care to children in the Nursery
2. To have a clear understanding and being able to implement this efectively following the guidelines for practice and provision as stated by the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Adhering to all sfae gaurding principles

5. As a Room Leader you will implement the daily routine in the allocated room(s).
6. To coordinate and give support to other personnel within the Nursery.

Key Areas for Room Leader
1. To complete the tasks of a Key Person for individual children as specified in the Policies of the Setting and the EYFS.
2. To work as part of a team; leading in supporting all staff to full-fill and develop their individual role within the team/classroom.
3. To uphold the Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies of the setting.
4. As a Room Leader you will ensure that all children are kept safe, and all children are protected from harm.
5. Lead in ensuring all record keeping is accurate and up to date within your designated area, including curriculum planning, Learning Journey of all the children in your room, accident/incident forms, sleep charts, daily record sheets and any other form/records required for the child's welfare, leaning and development
