Great opportunity for Qualified Nursery Practitioner /Room Leader who understand and respect that every child we care for deserves a calm, caring, safe and stimulating environment in which to learn.

To work as part of the management team to provide professional leadership and management to the playroom staff and to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education. You will hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above, understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted are met and ideally have experience working in a busy nursery setting.

The right candidate would:

Contribute to providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery

Implement the daily routine in the room

Work together as a team supporting each other for the benefit of the children

Liaise with Parent s and Carer s sharing information about their child s development

Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children

Provide professional and relevant feedback to parents/ carers about their child

Ensure all records of development and learning are fully and accurately maintained by the appropriate staff

Ensure appropriate planning is in place to maintain the required standards consulting with the Senior Nursery Nurse when necessary

Provide leadership and support staff to enable them to establish and maintain positive working relationships

Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the room

Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery key person procedures and allocate children to key person appropriately

Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedures

Support the development of good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion

Implement and support others in delivering, the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines

Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority Departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies

With your staff team, deliver a programme of exciting play opportunities and activities suitable to the age range and developmental needs of the children in your room which will motivate their learning and integration within the nursery

To ensure that a caring and stimulating environment is provided for children that takes into account individual developmental needs and enables children to reach their full potential
