TeachersUK are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistants for a variety of roles within a Special Educational Needs (SEND) school in Nottingham
We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious special educational needs teaching assistants (SEND TA) to join our agency for a position supporting a SEND school with pupils who have complex needs including, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and physical disabilities (PD).
An understanding around these complexities is highly desired for a successful candidate. This a long term vacancy working on an ongoing basis from ASAP
We are looking for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants with a minimum of the Level 2 TA qualification as a minimum and have the enthusiasm and passion for supporting teachers and children in SEND schools. The successful candidate will be someone who wants to help our students achieve their potential to give them the skills to enjoy life.
Typical School hours are 09:00 till 15:30 with an hour for lunch. Any variance to this will be confirmed by your consultant prior to your assignment.
**Candidates MUST have experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs. **
Candidates applying for this post must have:
- previous experience working as a teaching assistant
- a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
- previous experience working with SEND children
- positive and effective behaviour management strategies
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- the capability to work effectively within a dedicated team
