A specialist primary provision in the Skelmersdale area is looking to hire Teaching Assistants in the new academic year to provide additional support for their pupils. The school caters for pupils aged 5-11 years with additional SEMH needs. They aim to equip their pupils with essential life skills to prepare them for moving into their next educational journey.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you would be required to support your pupils needs both holistic and educational during their time with you. You may be required to work with children on both a small group and 1:1 basis, ensuring you are adhering to their EHC plans and putting their well-being as your priority. Within the class there will be other members of support staff and a class teacher, this requires you to be pro-active and use your initiative during your time in school as time is precious and the needs of the pupils require you to be giving 100% focus.
Level 2 or above in health and social care, teaching assistant or childcare
Be available full-time from September
Able to travel to and from Skelmersdale daily for work
Have experience working with children or adults with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
