Job Description

We are currently working with a sixth form college in Nuneaton, who have an exciting role within their specialist support services. You will support the teaching staff within the classroom with a supervisory responisbililty of a pupil with a medical need. They need an individual who is passionate and understands young people and their wellbeing. Full training will be provided, which will include appropriate medical first aid training.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, friendly and high achieving college which has been rated as 'good' by Ofsted. This is a part-time position 17 hours per week (0.459FTE) The right candidate would need to be flexible with days/hours as they would be required for the lesson times during the week this would be stretched across the week.

Key responsibilities as a specialist support assistant:

Classroom supervision of one identified student support need
Responsibility for identified individual during scheduled timetable sessions
First point of contact for medical need
Provide Basic first Aid response
General classroom resource support
Examination and Assesment supervision and invigulation The successful learning support assistant will need:

Previous experience working with pupils with a medical need
The ability to relate well to young people and to develop an effective rapport with those that you support.
To be conscientious, enthusiastic, and positive.
A good standard of education to include GCSE maths and EnglishClosing date for applications - 08/11/2021
