The role of an Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant is to support children from the age of 3 years old to develop their Prime and Specific Areas of development whilst reviewing any Characteristics that support their Learning.
Have excellent communication skills, with a willingness to provide support across EYFS by developing eye contact, attention and listening and speech and language development.
Interact meaningfully through play indoors and outdoors.
Know a variety of songs and rhymes.
Ability to read stories with enthusiasm, which engages children, using props as approariate.
Provide a secure, safe and happy environment where children can learn through play.
Support children's behaviour with positive interactions.
Observe, monitor and report on learning and development.
Plan, develop and maintain displays.
The school displays a healthy and safe physical environment where children are encourages to play both indoors and outdoors. The curriculum is continuous, flexible and adaptable to the children's needs and interests.
SLT promote an inclusive environment where staff, children and parents are treated as part of a community feel.
To be considered for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions, you must:
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or recent Early Years or Primary experience
Have experience supporting children with Early Years Foundation Stage children of all abilities.
SEN experience desirable
Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.
Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30 Mon-Fri
