Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant
Monarch Education are an education recruitment agency, who specialise in allocating teachers, teaching assistants, nursery practitioners etc. in their suitable roles. The company are currently working with a primary school in the Handsworth area of Birmingham, who are offering the role of a primary teaching assistant to work full time alongside pupils across key stage 2.
The school are looking for a full time teaching assistant who will be available on a Monday-Friday basis until the end of the academic year. With regards to the role itself, the ideal person would be someone who is be able to supervise children and manage any difficulties that may occur in a professional and calming manner. The school, and Monarch, are able to offer an immediate start to this role.
This role will be based in various classrooms across key stage 2 and the candidate is required to meet the following expectations:
Must be experienced across the primary setting
Must hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification working in childcare or education
Working well under pressure
Using their initiative to promote positive reinforcement - not only with both children but throughout the entire classroom and school
Must have a sense of understanding and accept new challenges each day with patience
Have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Prepare learning materials suited to each child based on their preferred way of learning
Adapting different methods of support according to the needs of each child
Be able to support both children's physical, social and emotional welfare needs
Providing personal care to the childrenYour application will be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working in an education setting.
