Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work throughout both Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful school and play a significant role in developing the learning of the pupils. The ability to drive will be essential for this position.
Role: Teaching Assistant
Pay: £61.20 - £66.30 per day (dependent on hours worked)
Location: Blackwood & Surrounding Areas
Duration: Full Time (Monday - Friday)
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting the children across the curriculum in particular Literacy and Numeracy
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs.
Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in all activities led by the class teacher.
Deliver tailored learning activities prepared by the class teacher.
Build team commitment with the pupils and staff.
Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures and policies.
The Ideal Candidate will be someone who is;
Positive, patient and energetic
Takes the hands-on approach and is always ready to support the class teacher.
Has the ability to use their own initiative in challenging situations that may arise.
Experience in working with children but does not necessarily have to be classroom based.
Have a passion for engaging students and watching them develop into lifelong learners, always going the extra mile to create a fun and positive learning environment.
Person Specification (Essential)
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
Hold a DBS which is registered on the update service, however full assistance provided if not registered.
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - Full assistance provided if not registered.
Provide at least two professional references.
