Position: Teaching Assistant

A welsh speaking Primary school based in Caerphilly are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to assist in a Foundation Phase class. The position is to start immediately and the role is expexted to be a long term assignment, going into the new academic year.
The successful applicant will be expected to assist the class teacher by supervising the children throughout the day, including play time. You will need to be able to assist in engaging the children in the learning and play activities, keep and update records of their progress and working with other team members within the classroom and school.
Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is essential for this role.

It is a legal requirement to possess a CHILD ONLY DBS and to be registered with the Education Workforce Council prior to working in any Primary School in Wales. Teaching Personnel can help with obtaining these mandatory requirements prior to entering the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
