Catholic Teaching Assistant
Location: Newport, Gwent
Full-Time Role (Monday to Friday)
September 2022 - July 2023
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join a very warm and welcoming primary school within the Newport area. The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking for an exceptional, innovative, vibrant practitioner who is committed to children's learning, wellbeing, and the raising of standards. We are a creative and forward-thinking school with a highly committed, dedicated, and hardworking team.
Applicants do not need to be a practising Roman Catholic but will need to be sympathetic to the aims of the faith and fully support the ethos of the school.
The successful educator will:

Be passionate about supporting and helping pupils with their learning
Be enthusiastic, motivated, caring, and able to nurture children to achieve their potential
Able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice by assisting the class teacher with relevant behaviour management policies
Motivated and have high expectations for pupil progress
Committed to sustaining the strong Catholic identity of the school
Supporting groups of children with their literacy and numeracy needs
Supporting all children with their social and emotional skills
Assist the class teacher with the preparation of the classroom
Aiding the class teacher with display boards and showcasing pupils work across the classroom and wider areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
