SEND Teaching Assistant:

Currently, Monarch Education are working with a school in the area of Nottingham, and are looking for a (SEND) Teaching Assistant, who is able to work well with young children in year 1 (particularly the 5-6 age group) who suffer from learning difficulties and help boost them and encourage their engagement in learning. For this role, the candidate is required to work full time.
The role of the candidate includes: assisting the classroom teacher, providing one to one support with children, prepare and send feedback to SENDco, monitor and observe the behaviour of pupils
With regards to the requirements of this role, a candidate is expected to:
Have experience working with young children, especially in a primary school setting
Have confident behaviour management skills
Be able to adapt and work with different types of children, ensuring that their learning demands are met
Be able to communicate well, and consider how to interact with young children who suffer from learning difficulties
Ensure that there is a positive and well engaged environment between the teacher and child
