Job Purpose
As a Trainer Coach your role is to deliver high quality teaching, assessment, coaching and mentoring. Our vision is for learners to take charge of their learning and be supported to create a life-long learning plan that will meet their personal and professional objectives and that of the Trainer Coach is central to this being realised. Starting with the end in mind you will endeavour to enhance and improve skills, knowledge and practice that will enable learners to achieve their qualifications. As a highly skilled individual, you will maintain three area of professional practice through CPD: sector-professional, teaching-professional, and coaching-professional.
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, forward thinking, enthusiastic, inspiring, and passionate Functional Skills specialist. You will teach Functional Skills as either stand-alone or part of an Apprenticeship to develop our learner's Maths, English, and ICT skills in a variety of settings and using several different delivery methods.
Experience in teaching Functional Skills is essential. The main duties will be to prepare and deliver high quality teaching and learning activities, exam invigilation and to contribute to the workings of a lively team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The ability to plan and deliver imaginative and motivational sessions with a clear focus on the needs of the individual learner
An understanding of different learning styles and how to differentiate through various teaching methods
Ability to motivate self and learners through the observation of teaching and learning
The ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and build successful working relationships
Facilitate and deliver learning via workshops and webinars
Develop, plan, and implement curriculum delivery models, SOW and resources with the Head of Sector and follow company best practice.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
Standardise practice according to quality benchmarks and meet performance targets agreed with line manager via the Team Around Learner process
Practice using a wide range of training and assessment methods with individuals and groups of learners to ensure we meet individual and client employer needs and expectations.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including internal staff, learners, learner line managers and client lead contacts where required.
Undertake and record regular CPD activities as per your personal development plan.
Ensure progression with each visit to motivate your learners
Ensure learners understand, take responsibility for their learning, and promote independence.
Where already qualified, complete IQA sampling of delegated learners in line with the IQA cycle and expectations
Manage, monitor, and administer all e-Learning systems, providing an audit trail unique to each learner, capturing contact, progression, and support provided.
Provide information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to learners and learner line managers.
Support and embed English and maths development within the learning process, promoting and encouraging use of e-Learning resources. Support learners to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills.
Standardise practice according to quality benchmarks and meet performance targets
Undertake and record regular CPD activities as per your personal development plan.
Conduct regular progress reviews and report on issues with the learners' mentors and trainers
Person Specification

We want to support you to deliver absolute excellence. You will have a cohort of learners and by meeting quality and performance benchmarks, you will support learners to be more empowered and reflective of their own practice. We are looking for our Trainer Coaches to be courageous, genuine, and able to nurture great relationships. We don't expect you to have all the answers, but we do expect you to give things a go, discover new ways of delivering curriculum and sharing your successes and failures with the rest of the team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and can build a relational bank account with all that they engage with. As a result,our client will maintain our strong culture and our relationships with our clients, learners, and regulators.
Essential Requirements:
The applicant should hold the assessor qualifications (CAVA or equivalent)
Hold GSCEs A*-C grace or equivalent (e.g. Level 2 English and Maths Functional Skills)
Must hold a full clean driving license and willing to travel nationally when required
Understanding of mentoring and coaching best practice
Excellent Microsoft IT systems, inc. Excel, Word, PPT & Teams.
A track record of successful delivery of Functional Skills maths, English, and ICT across all levels from E1 to L2
Experience in creating SOWs, resources, and lesson plans
Experience of using e-Portfolio, digital platforms (BKSB), and webinar technology
Experience of teaching maths, English, and ICT to learners with additional learning needs and/or support
Train the Trainer
A strong commitment to team working and achieving weekly/monthly KPIs
Awareness of, and commitment to, the promotion of equality and diversity, safeguarding and Health and Safety
Internal moderation of maths, English, and ICT examination papers
Experience of awarding organisation audits and funding requirements
Desirable:
Knowledge of Pearson/Edexcel, NCFE, and OCR specifications
Knowledge of JCQ Exam Invigilation
Knowledge of e-Portfolio (NOMAD/OneFile) and Hodder (My-Dynamic Learning)
Knowledge of BKSB Live platform.
